At AlgoMate, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how AlgoMate — Interview Prep ("the App") handles your information. All data you personally enter stays on your device and is never sent to us. The App does display ads through Google AdMob, which may collect certain device identifiers as described below.
AlgoMate does not collect any personal information on its own servers. The app does not require you to create an account or sign in.
Any data you provide during onboarding — such as your name, target company, job role, study timeline, and DSA assessment responses — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device.
No servers. No databases. No cloud sync. Your study plan and progress exist only on your phone.
Third-party advertising (Google AdMob): The App shows rewarded video ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect your device's Advertising ID and information about your ad interactions (impressions, clicks) to serve and measure ads. This data is sent to and retained by Google, not by us. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your personal information with third parties.
However, the App integrates Google AdMob for advertising. AdMob, as an independent third party, collects device identifiers and ad interaction data directly from your device in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We do not control, access, or receive this data.
The App does not use analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or social login providers. There are no other third-party trackers.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising by resetting or opting out of your Advertising ID in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads (Android).
AlgoMate may request permission to send you push notifications for daily study reminders. These notifications are generated locally on your device and are not used to collect any information about you.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app.
All data you enter is retained locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete all your data at any time in two ways:

AlgoMate is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.
Since the app itself collects no personal data, there is no additional risk to younger users — but the app content is designed for students preparing for technical interviews.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
